Background: 1984 by George Orwell is a dystopian story in which a totalitarian society has no personal freedoms. The government, called “Big Brother,” watches over everything in the city and polices everyone’s thoughts. The novel serves as a warning of totalitarian power. This new cover design for the classic novel has motifs of over-surveillance and the dark themes in the book.

Challenge: This novel is a classic that has had several different cover designs but it is time for a new cover yet again. To create a new version of the cover it needs to have motifs of over-surveillance, dark tones, and invoke an eerie feeling to the viewer.
